Class Descriptions

Gentle Yoga:  Combines warm-up stretches, gentle and restorative poses, yogic breathing and guided relaxation.  Ideal for the new student, a student with physical limitations, or a student that prefers a less rigorous vinyasa class.

Introduction to Yoga: This class is designed for individuals who have no experience in yoga. You will be introduced to the breathing techniques (pranayama), the postures/poses (asana) and meditation.  This class is for new students only to introduce them to various techniques and poses needed in beginner and vinyasa classes.

Ashtanga Yoga: This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

Vinyasa Yoga: Vinyasa yoga is the integration of breath and movement into a flowing practice.  This class practices the asanas, alignment, pranayama (breathwork) and sun salutations.  Classes end with meditation of various techniques.

T'ai ChiAlong with relaxing the body and helping the body to heal, it is important to exercise the body in a harmonious way to maintain a balanced lifestyle.  Soft, slowing movements build an understanding of how body, mind and chi (energy) work together.

Kundalini YogaKundalini Yoga is a process of directing the breath to arouse your kundalini energy.  Kundalini combines meditation, physical practice and breathing exercises as a comprehensive yoga practice.

Beginner's  Yoga: This class combines gentle stretches, asanas, vinyasa flows, sun salutations, pranayama (breathwork) and ends with a meditation.  This class is designed for beginning students with the intention of preparation for the Vinyasa classes.

Meditation: Beginning with gentle stretches and movement of the body so that the body can sit comfortably during meditation.  Many different meditation techniques will be practiced.  The actual sit will be 20-30 minutes.

Baby and Me (baby ages 2 months - walking):  A Class for mom/dad/caregiver to spend quality time with baby in a gentle and relaxing yoga class designed for two. (All students must call or email 24 hours in advance to attend class! Minimum attendance required!)

Yoga for SleepEz:  Approximately 1/3 of all adults suffer from imsomnia.  This class combines stretches, gentle and restorative poses, yogic breathing, guided relaxation and ayurveda to help aid with getting a good night's sleep. Coming Soon!!!

Toddler Yoga: (18 months-3 years) 

Preschool Yoga: (3-5 years)

Kids Yoga:  (6-12 years)                                     

Teen Yoga:  (13-15 years)

All Classes designed specifically for the physical needs of there age group.  Age appropriate activities are used to instill a yoga practice.  (All students must call or email 24 hours in advance to attend class! Minimum attendance required!)
